She was parked in my neighbor&#8217;s driveway, which made me <em>very<\/em> excited.  I said, excuse me miss, you must get this question a lot but&#8230; when can we has internetz?  Weeks, months, years?<\/p>\n<p>She responded diplomatically and said she didn&#8217;t want to get my hopes up and say weeks, because it might be months.  But she didn&#8217;t want to say months because it&#8217;s probably weeks. <\/p>\n<p>My money is still on years, just to be safe.  What&#8217;s one more among friends?!<\/p>\n<p>Apparently the 2010 budget ran out at the end of last year and work stopped, or else we&#8217;d already be on.  The 2011 budget is in effect now though and according to her they&#8217;ve just got a bit of testing to do before they flip the switch on the storied <a href=\"http:\/\/www.beamychron.com\/live\/?p=994\">equipment<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Ahhh, takes me back &#8211; last May.
